Please educate all your riders on how to clean their Turbo bike appropriately. This helps avoid issues. All Turbo bike manuals also hold some cleaning tips and we have a dedicated how-to video.
Never use a high-pressure cleaner to clean a Turbo bike; instead, use a wet cloth or a low-pressure garden hose for removing dirt
Always turn off the bike before cleaning
Remove the Range Extender battery before cleaning (if needed, clean separately with a wet cloth; remove dirt from connectors with a soft brush or low-pressure air)
Close any connector covers and charge ports before cleaning or washing
Avoid spraying water directly at sensitive areas like batteries, displays/control pads, electronic connectors and motors
After rinsing, bounce the bike on the ground a few times to remove any excess water
Use a damp cloth to clean sensitive areas such as displays, control pads and charge ports
To remove any left-over dirt, use a sponge, soft cloth and/or brush
Clean the Speed Sensor magnet on the rear wheel with a cloth (brake dust with metal parts can collect and cause issues in the worst case)
After cleaning, open the charge ports and connectors and check for water or dirt-accumulation — to clean, use a soft brush/cloth or low-pressure air and re-seal all ports and connectors
Before connecting the charger or battery, make sure all contacts and ports are dry and clean
Pay special attention to chain/drivetrain maintenance and lubing after cleaning — ideally, wait till the chain/drivetrain has dried completely
