All wireless connections are managed through the (MasterMind) TCU, which contains both a Bluetooth and an ANT+ module. This allows for the following wireless connectivity options.
Application / Device | TCU | MasterMind TCU |
---|---|---|
Mission Control | YES BLE connection TCU states BLE pairing code for Mission Control App: (1) On white label on the side (2) On underside where it says ‘P/S:’ | YES BLE connection First pairing confirmed on bike remote and on phone |
Specialized TCD![]() | YES ANT+ connection Displays key live ride metrics and Turbo data (e.g. % battery charge level, mode, rider power, cadence) | YES ANT+ connection Not relevant since metrics show on display itself |
Heart rate belt | NO A heart rate belt can only be used with bike by pairing a BLE belt in Mission Control to ride based on Smart Control with heart rate. | YES ANT+ and BLE Heart rate data shows directly on display. |
E-Bike Sensors (Garmin, etc.) | YES ANT+ connection | |
Wireless Shifting | NO | YES AXS integration |
The Turbo Connect Display (TCD) puts all of your key ride and bike data in one convenient location on the handlebars. Some of these metrics include: Speed (current, max, average), distance, riding time, cadence, battery level, rider power, support mode, heart rate, average speed, and a clock. It also lets you easily customize the five ride screens and the displayed data. Combine the use of your TCD with the Mission Control App and you have all the correct tools to personalize your Turbo experience.
General notes on ANT+ connectivity
All Turbo motors feature sensors for Speed, Rider Power and Cadence. The sensor data can be received via the ANT+ modules of the bike. Basically, all ANT+ devices can connect to these sensors. Additionally, many bicycle-specific GPS devices feature e-bike specific protocols, often called LEV protocol (Light Electric Vehicle) to simplify sensor connection and to show specific display screens for e-bike data.
Connect to LEV sensors in ANT device
In the ANT+ device, search for sensors and connect to Speed, Power and Cadence sensor of the Turbo to see the data on the device. Usually, data fields can be customized.
